The 14 forms of the 2nd level

The ura katas

In the first form of the ura set the suyari thrust to the kamayari's uramen, right thigh and maemen. The kamayari parries answers with kamuriuke with makiotoshi, a block in gedan and surikomi.

In the second form of the ura set the kamayari blocks a thrust to his uramen to his left, then circles the suyari around counter-clockwise before bringing it to the ground with hikiotoshi. The next thrust to his uradō which is delivered then immediately he beats upwards before hooking his right sickle just in front of the suyari's left hand.

In the third form the kamayari parries a thrust towards his uramen in kamuriuke, then brings his opponent's spear to his right side and slides towards the suyari's left hand with his right sickle.

In the fourth form of the ura set the kamayari blocks a thrust to his uramen to his left side then forces the suyari first into gedan then back into jōdan on his ura side before sliding his left sickle towards the suyari's left hand when the suyari attempts to thrust to his uramen again.

In the fifth form of the ura set the kamayari successively blocks thrusts towards his maemen, momo and uramen before he brings the suyari to his right side and applies surikomi.

In the sixth form of the ura set the kamayari beats a thrust to his uradō upwards before thrusting to the suyari's maedō.

In the seventh form of the ura set the suyari moves his spear in circles that get larger as he advances to irritate the kamayari before thrusting to his uramen. In the ura version the kamayari finishes the form with surikomi.

In the eighth form of the ura set the suyari thrusts to the kamayari's uramen two times. The kamayari parries both thrusts in kamuriuke before bringing the suyari to his right side and apllying surikomi after the second parry.

In the ninth form of the ura set the kamayari parries a thrust to his maemen with hikiotoshi, blocks a thrust to his right thigh in gedan and counters another thrust to his maemen with surikomi.

In the tenth form of the ura set the kamayari first pushes the suyari to the ground on his right side with his ura-sickle (the left sickle) before sliding it towards the suyaris left hand.

In the eleventh form of the ura set the suyari attempts to blow the kamayari which is thrusting to his maemen away but is cut down by his opponent's spear who then thrusts to the suyaris's maedō.

In the twelfth form of the ura set the kamayari first knocks the suyari upwards a little before performing surikomi.

In the thirteenth form of the ura set the kamayari cuts down a thrust to his maemen with kiriotoshi before thrusting to the suyari's maedō. He then parries a second thrust in kamuriuke before applying makiotoshi and thrusting to the suyari's maedō once more.

In the fourteenth form of the ura set the suyari tries to blow the kamayari that is thrusting to his maemen to the right. The kamayari evades and offers his uradō as a new target. When the suyari tries to place a thrust there the kamayari beats it down.
