In the sixth form of the ura set the kamayari beats a thrust to his uradō upwards before thrusting to the suyari's maedō.
Both spears begin in gedan.
On the third step forward both open their spear (still in gedan) to their left side, turning it counter-clockwise by 90 degrees lengthwise.
With okuriashi forward the suayri now thrusts to the kamayari's uradō (actually the thrust is aimed a little higher to make things easier for the kamayari). The kamayari counters this thrust with an upward beat which is followed immediately by a thrust to the suyari's maedō with okuriashi forwards.
Without any delay the kamayari now pulls his spear back with okuriashi backwards before hooking his right sickle on the shaft of the suyari immediately in front of his opponent's left hand (see Ichijitsu) with okuriashi forwards again.
Both then disengage and return to their starting positions.
