Hozoinryu Takadaha Sojutsu Training Kata Shinshikake Hichō

After his thrust to the kamayari's maemen was knocked down with hikiotoshi, the suyari tries to thrust to the kamayari's uradō three times, which the kamayari counters three times with uchibari. With the third uchibari the kamayari knocks the suyari to the ground and then trusts to his maedō. Now both go into jōdan. The suyari now pushes the kamayari into gedan and creates a chance to thrust to his uradō. But the kamayari evades with a jump backwards and knocks the suyari to the ground whilst landing before thrusting to his uradō.

The suyari starts in gedan, the kamayari in jōdan.

On the third step the suyari thrusts to the maemen of the kamayari. The kamayari knocks the suyari to the ground with hikiotoshi.

The suyari now slowly raises his spear into yarigamae and thrusts to the kamayari's uradō before he is controlled by the right sickle of the kamayari. The kamayari counters with uchibari whilst advancing a step forward with okuriashi during which the suyari takes a step backwards with okuriashi.

Immediately the suyari thrusts to the uradō of the kamayari again, who again answers with uchibari whilst the kamayari advances and the suyari retreats with okuriashi.

Immediately the suyari trusts a third time to the uradō of the kamayari, who again counters with uchibari, this time however so strongly that the suyari is beaten to the ground. The kamayari now immediately thrusts to the maedō of the suyari with tsugiashi forwards.

Then the kamayari withdraws his spear with okuriashi backwards.

Both now slowly lift the spears into jōdan. The spears are in binding but the sickle of the kamayari does not touch the shaft of the suyari.

The suyari now pushes the kamayari to the right and down. The kamayari parries this in a kind of kamuriuke.

Now the suyari pushes the kamayari further clockwise with the intention to throw it out of the way to then thrust to the kamayari's uradō. The kamayari however releases himself from the binding with a leap backwards, bringing his spear into the vertical, strikes the thrust to his uradō to he ground when landing and then immediately thrust to the suyari's uradō.

Then the kamayari withdraws his spear with okuriashi backwards.

Both now return to the center line whilst the suyari retreats a little with tsugiashi and brings his spear under the right sickle of the kamayari and into yarigamae.

From this position, both parties disengage and return to their starting positions.
